Marrissa Beauchamp has built her career around helping people feel supported, whether in moments of crisis or in everyday growth. She has served as a Youth Specialist II at Aunt Martha’s, a qualified mental health professional at Lake County Jail and a police records clerk with the Richton Park Police Department. In every role, she has drawn on her strengths in communication, problem-solving and mentorship to guide people through challenges.
Her experience spans both behavioral health and public service, where she has provided crisis intervention, counseling support and workforce advising, as well as administrative support in law enforcement. What connects all of these roles is her commitment to meeting people where they are and helping them find a path forward.
At Youth Empowerment Day, Beauchamp led the workshop “You Matter: Seeing Yourself,” encouraging young people to reflect on who they are and to embrace their own worth. She believes that mentorship, conversation and genuine connection can give youth the confidence to grow into their best selves.
